Canoe Routes

Yours to Discover

The contents of this site was made in order to show my love for the backcountry that we have in our own backyard here in Ontario, Canada. I have been exploring the backcountry since I was a kid and have never stopped seeking new adventures. I have extensively canoed and hiked in Provincial Parks like Killarney, Quetico, Wabakimi, and Temagami to name a few. I have produced many framed prints for friends and family but I currently do not sell as a business. I am currently in the process of producing videos of these trips and most will be in 360° that allows for interactive views in all 360°.

New for 2025, I have started to add Canoe Routes that we have done. I show the route and discuss the preparation that was put into making them happen. I have added photograph links to show some of the pictures taking along our backcountry canoe trips. This section is still at work in progress.

    Dream it.

It all begins with an idea or possibly a dream. Maybe you want something more. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, this is my way to tell you my story & life adventures here online.

    Plan it.

So it began with a dream, like most things do in life. Now you have to research the area that you have never been before. It could involve maps and routes already created and available. , It might also mean you have to have create your maps and paths. Part of the Journey….

    Do it.

Now comes the hard part, doing it. Everything has been planned to the last detail. All preparations and equipment have been accounted for. If it was easy the reward would not be as great. Hopefully Mother Nature is on your side and everything goes as planned….

“ What sets a canoeing expedition apart is that it purifies you more rapidly and inescapably than any other. Travel a thousand miles by train and you are a brute; pedal five hundred on a bicycle and you remain basically a bourgeois; paddle a hundred in a canoe and you are already a child of nature. "

Exploring with 360° Video

This is old drone footage from Temagami. Drones used to be a great way to get footage but they are now prohibited in all Ontario Provincial Parks since 2006. Making use of 360° cameras is an excellent alternative as seen to the next video here.

Making use of filming in Quetico Provincial Park with 360° camera is a great way to film as drones are prohibited. This short video is edited and presented with 360° view angles that you, the Youtube watcher can move around to view all 360° views including up and down.

* IMPORTANT On How To Watch 360° Video *

If viewing 360° Video and does not appear to be working properly:

YouTube supports playback of 360° on computers (laptops/desktops) in most browsers.

For mobile devices you must be in the YouTube App to watch 360° video.

If you do go to my YouTube Channel I would very much appreciate it you Subscribe to it and hit the Like Button so that the channel can get to more people. Thanks.
